Lower Jitang Drum Tower Lower Jitang Drum Tower is a pagoda style multi-eaves drum tower with a pyramid roof. It is 11 stories and 24 meters high, and covers an area of 130 square meters. It was built as early as 1813,and has been rebuilt several times since then. The tower was destroyed in 1966 during the “Culture Revolution”, but was restored by local villagers in 1978. Since 1982, the tower has been listed as an important cultural relic with provincial protection. |
